Since i haven't figured out yet how to reply to a comment here's to snottlebocket's comment on my previous post:

They do indeed test those medicines on healthy volunteers to find the nasty side effects you really don't want to find out about by testing them on yourself. The point is: i need the money, i also need to study for the rehearings i'm having in august so i don't have the time to get a regular summer job/ + i'm starting to get a bit too old for regular summer jobs. They usually only hire kids between 16 and 20 or so for those. Since i decided to get myself another education after art school i'm still studying at 23.
I'll be selective on what medicine they'll test on me. I don't want any drugs against psychological or neurological deseases tested on me.... let's just hope i'll be in the placebo group ok ;-)

The difference between biomedicine and regular medicine is that biomedicine is a combination between chemisty, farmacology, medicine, biology and vetinarian medicine.
It's goal is to find the mechanisms that cause diseases and from there find a way to cure them other than trying to cure 1 patient.
Eventually i'll be a scientist instead of a doctor. I'm not all that interested in patients whining all the time, expecting the doc to perform a miracle and cure them. I do care about the biology behind deseases though....
