So ... a first journal entry ... I've been a member for a while now but never really involved myself much in the "community" of SG. Obviously, I never kept a journal and only rarely commented on sets that I really liked. I joined for the girls and that remains the main reason why I stay. But lately I've found myself poking around the forums, reading the news stories, leaving a comment or two here and there, and even joining a few groups. Why? I'm not sure. Maybe out of boredom, maybe out of curiosity, maybe I just didn't want to have that big red "xcomptonx has no journal entries" staring at me every time I went to my page, maybe all of the above. Lately, I've felt compelled to write in my journal ... again, I'm not sure why. I feel no need to have my innermost thoughts broadcast over the internet, I don't need the attention, and, mostly likely, no one is going to read this. There are also parts of this community that I don't particularly care for, but its easy enough to steer clear of them and participate in the parts I enjoy. So, despite all that, I guess I figured I'd throw my hat in the ring and see what happens. Maybe I'll make a friend or two along the way. Who knows?

I don't know how often I'll keep this updated. Like I said, I have no desire to pour my heart out on a porn site. My musings will probably be about things I'm interested in like music, science, politics, the SGs, football (soccer), video games, etc. (*points to the left*). Just don't expect any poetry or short stories or pictures of my naughty bits.
