I've been away. Things are changing. Timings all wrong as I was trying to get back on this blog, heh. Can't be helped, I guess. Universe is gonna do what the Universe is gonna do. Fate. Destiny.

And other such nonsense. smile

Anyway, watch your favorite stuff on Youtube. Something that interests you. Then, if you want to be put in a bad mood, read the comments. People can be so negative and off-putting. Kinda ruins it all.

But, know where comments only make you feel as warm and fuzzy as the video itself? Any Final Fantasy Seven sound track video. Any of them. All the commentators have only the fondest of memories. Memories about the songs taking them back and super vivid joys of playing FFVII. It is interesting to see thousands upon thousands that feel exactly as you do. And all of it positive.

Storytelling and art. Maybe it is an unappreciated medium. If FFVII were a book...

If it were a book...

If it were a book, it wouldn't be the same. As it is, it touches more sense than a book ever can. You can't hear a book. You can't see it either. Yes, books evoke those sense with description. Imagination's potential is unleashed. But the same thing happens with a video game if you let it. To me, what's on screen is just a suggestion, something to guide you in the right direction, to let imagination open up and soar. Just as words on a page.

I digress. Happy comments and happy feelings on soundtrack videos. There.

Note: In retrospect, comparing books to video games is like apples and oranges. Really too different to compare in a way that makes sense. That is like comparing your wedding day to the birth of your first child. Or second. All events are great, but is one better than the other? Different kinds of great. Fuck. Well, I'm not erasing the shit. I meant it when I typed it.

Maybe this is what this blog is for...
