I'd like to thank you all for either commenting on my comment, liking my comment, answering/mentioning or messaging me. I love this community because it breaks the norms, because it shows and highlights an alternative to the brainwashing consumerist society that says we should all be "the mannequin" and as women try and stick to the feminine ideals (ie tall/thin-anorexic/big boobs and brainless) and as man be tough and protective. I like it because it is very supportive and I find it to be honnest and funny. I have never met with anyone of that community yet (at least not that I know of) but when I get feedbacks on my comments it does not leave me indifferent. I am thrilled and I am happy to see I get a notification or a message following my comment on a blog or on a set. thrilled because to me it shows that (either the SG/photographer or member) agrees in a way with what I've said, shares some of the views I've exposed in that comment or felt the same way. Back in the day (before email that is) I used to have penpals worldwide (from the punk-HC community), we used to share and trades ideas, thoughts, music, fanzines, infos about our scenes. I have travelled and have met some of my (still) best friends who put me up, showed me around in their homeland, and I did just the same for pals or unknown travellers crashing at my place (that was crash pad, which I'd be thrilled to see working again! I'd love to build a network again). Anyhow, when I leave a comment on a set, their is usually something special I enjoy about it, something I recognize in the work of the SG and photographer that moves me. Feedbacks are in a way a recognition of that emotion. I'd love to create bonds with some of those members who seems to share these same feelings. The list is unfortunately incomplete because you were too numerous, so here's for the most recent ones or the ones who've been in touch "regularly" lately. apologize to all others (oops!!). My huge thanx to you for your work/blog/thoughts. keep fighting!

last but not least (a bit of promotion never hurts) I'd urge you all to go and support the lovely @verde who has a new set out and it is just amazing, shot by the talented @frankndame . She's been through quite harsh times lately and this set is heartwarming and I was blown to see her back. I'd love to see it FP (no doubt it will, it is really mindblowing!) so please, go check it out!

for fans of video games, their is a whole very interesting serie of studies by Anita Sakeesian Damsel in Distress: Part 1 - Tropes vs Women in Video Games (called damsel in distress: tropes vs women in video games) amongst others and it is both funny and amazing to see how we're being conditioned and how things have been evolving lately. I thought this could be of interest to many of you SG and members. and finally, for those of you who speak or understand French (sorry I don't think their is any subtittled version) a piece I've had the opportunity to see recently at a street festival done by two female performers (the video was captured indoors) about our financial world, money and all that goes with it (traders, banking system, money laundering... etc) both fun and political. Argent, pudeurs et décadences - spectacle intégral its called argent, pudeurs et decandences.
