That's the question 2 friends have been asking when they saw some of my sketches. I thought I'd just as well posted out here, although I'm not sure it's of any interest. But I thought it could be funny to know what pushes "artists" (let's call them artists shall we? pro or not) that makes some wonderful sketches I've seen out there to draw a particular Suicide Girl.
For my part, I first have to feel motivated and in the mood for it. I like to draw but always feel disappointed by the result. It's never up to my expectations or to what I pictured in my mind, so basically I'm never satisfied with what I draw, making it harder to even start. I try to be very acurate and usually lost myself in details (like shades, marks, etc... ) making it hard for me to draw a simple sketch or to make it.. "refined". More than nudity, what caught my eye is usually the eyes. The first sketch I've posted was from Verde's set, the set itself is really stunning in my opinion, but it's the whole thing: the postures, the look, the apparel. Of course, I'm not bullet proof and am sensitive to the curves, to the body. Some pics are incredibly sexy, but the ones that really catch me are usually not the "crudest" ones. On Verde's pic there is this intense look and incredible assurance, that half smile, that posture. The model itself is just inspiring. On pics like the ones from Laytee or Leloo their was someting about the posture and some quietness, and again the expression in those eyes. Venom and Hylia were basiclly the same: intense look, sexy outfits for sure, and in general, some details like the tattoos (that eagle on the chest I've always liked) jewelry, piercings... Additional things that makes me wanna draw. Although reproducing a tat when you don't have a clear sight of it is kinda... challenging!
So, I guess I should thank all of you for those beautiful pictures and inspiration you provided; provide and will provide, there are sooooo many I'd like to draw but time is missing. Any comments are welcome, I mainly hope the people I used as models won't be too afraid if seeing the end result! You just seem out of reach for me, I can only be disappointed by the sketch.
