At work today, was supposed to be off, but I couldn't get coverage...errr
Saturday my former best friend and his wife came by the house. Was cool to catch up with them. I haven't seen them in months. Weird how someone you used to spend so much time with and lives only a few miles away can just fade out of your life.
Blood Feast III was cool (if you don't know what I'm talking about, don't ask dammit)...
Zombilly, Dead City Shakers and Atomic Fiends were the first 3 bands. All decent. At that point I was thinking it was going to be an awesome show, if the first 3 bands were that good. For whatever reason, I had a bad feeling about the 4th band when they were setting up. My fears were confirmed when The Livends started playing. WTF? A couple of suggestions guys, feedback is NOT cool, also louder and faster does NOT equal better. Damn had to go outside after the first couple of songs, it was that bad. G-String was up next. Fucking badass. They do psychobilly in France? Who knew? The Koffin Kats were up after that, pretty fucking good for a bunch of guys from Detriot
The night ended with Concombre Zombi I don't know if I was just tired at this point (I am getting old), or if they just didn't do it for me, but we all cut out after the first few songs. They weren't bad, but they weren't kicking my ass either. Thanks to Ashlar and Jimbo for coming out. We missed you Do11Face, hope you feel better soon.
I'm on a bettering myself kick, quitting smoking and you'll notice no new CD's to report. I decided to allow myself to smoke when I'm out drinking, but I didn't really even enjoy it last night
