Alrighty... I'm severly pissed... I bought Foo Fighters' In Your Honor looks like good stuff, I only actually own one Foo Fighters CD somehow...
Guess what? It's copy protected, says right on the outside of the package. No problem, I'm not planning to copy it, just need to get it to my iPod, right? Put it in my computer, wants to install something, yeah, fuck that, I cancelled out of the install and iTunes seems to see all the songs. All good. Get the first disk imported and on to disk 2. The mother fucker BSOD's my computer
WTF... my computer has BSOD'ed since I reloaded it about a year ago!!! OK... It happens, I can live with it. Boot back up, iTunes sees the songs and imports them. Synch up to my iPod and head outside to mow the lawn and jam. All the Foo Fighters songs are fucking garbled
So when I'm done in the yard, I delete them from iTunes and resynch. Then head to the support page. (Yes, the fucking CD has a support page)
"Media Max Customer Care"
Here is what they have to say:
"Can I transfer MediaMax digital audio files to my iPod?
Apple's proprietary technology doesn't support secure music formats other than their own, and therefore the secure music file formats on this disc can't be directly imported into iTunes or iPods.
While these discs aren't currently compatible with iTunes or iPod, we are actively working on an acceptable solution, and have reached out to Apple in hopes of addressing this issue. To help speed this effort, we ask that you use the following link to contact Apple and ask them to provide a solution that would easily allow you to move content from protected CDs into iTunes or onto your iPod: http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipod.html
Even though there is no direct support on the disc for iTunes or iPod, SONY BMG has worked out a way for consumers to move content into these environments, despite the challenges noted above. If you'd like more information on how to move content to iTunes please CLICK HERE."
Ummm... Hello? iTunes is screwing you? I should request Apple to support your fucked up software? I need your permission to listen to the music I fucking
purchased in the form I want to listen to it in?
I CLICKED HERE request help a few hours ago, still no response....
In short... Fuck Sony, Fuck BMG, and Fuck the Foo Fighters...
Anywho, I feel better getting that out.
Let's see... looks like my_bright_side has all but moved out, we'll see how long that lasts.
HorrorPops will be here in September!!!

Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey (Some of you will remember from SNL)
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.
