i spent a good part of today scanning pictures of my father for my sister. She only ever had 2 pictures of him and have a whole album my mother gave me.
Very interesting, i discovered i have no idea who most of the people in the pictures are, especially the ones labeled 'Bob's Family.' i've looked at the pictures many times before and i never really cared who they were. Now, for some reason, i want to know.
In my exploring, i found a picture that says on the back it is Duane (Bob's brother) and Bob. (Bob, is my dad) The interesting thing is, i never heard of my dad having a brother, i knew he had 4 sisters, but no brother. There are many pictures in my album of his sisters, but none of Duane. The other interesting thing is, in the picture the 2 boys look to be about the same age. Could my father have had a twin that died young? Strange revelation.

As a suggestion, you can do a search on geneology in Google, and find a place in your area that does that sort of thing. It helps find legal documentation for family trees, including records of deaths and births. Good way to find out if your father had a twin.
My mother, a Mormon (yes, I know - ick!) is heavily into it, as are a lot of Mormons. Their churches have huge databases and ways of getting information. If you're not heavily opposed to it, you could call one of their churches for more information.
