Wow...what a day...
As i'm found out that she is pregnant (no, not possible it is mine). She really doesn't need this right now. She's strong though, i trust she will get through to the otherside. Some people's troubles just seem to compound, but she's a big girl, she knows how babies get made....

My sister is in another chat window telling me about the... ummm how to phrase this here... the troubles she had growing up. i feel bad that i wasn't there to protect my baby sister

Sorry to hear about what's going on.
The only thing that you can do is "be there" for them and help them get through it.
I have had some pretty tough times lately, and while everyone thought I was strong and that I could handle it alone, all that I really needed was a shoulder to cry on and ears to vent to...
You might also remind them that everything happens for a reason...that is what got me through...
