Yep, yep... Time to update...
First off, let's get this out of the way... When you see me or call, or txt or whatever. If you want to talk about the Stars game that night, the first question should be, "Are you recording, or watching the Stars game?" If I'm watching, ask me if I'm caught up to live. If those 2 questions are both 'yes.' Your more than welcome to speak about the game. Otherwise... Shut Up! I'm watching it later.
And no, I haven't watch the Edmonton game from last night. Yes, I know the score, but we can talk about it like on Wednesday when I have time to watch it.
OK... Now on to the real purpose for calling you all here...
We'll start by catching everyone up on what I've been up to, cause I know you are soooo curious.
Monday night I ordered Stars tix for Cicatrix and I. We are going to see at least 8 more games, spaced them out, ~1 a month.
For the Detroit and Colorado games we shall be 5 rows from the ice. Otherwise we are like row N or something. Say it with me... "Fuckin Sweeeeet!"
Wednesday night went out to country karoake at No Frills (What else is new, right? Wait for it...). Cicatrix wasn't feeling to well so I went without her. That's a first. I don't think I've ever been to No Frills without her, it was kinda weird. She was missed, but we had fun. Ran into Coops and ScarredAngel while I was there. Now here's the biggie, Coops 'forced' me to sing a Fuel song with Hanna. Yep, on stage and everything. I hope I didn't make her sound too bad, she has a beautiful voice. She didn't look too embarrassed, so I guess it was OK. ScarredAngel and Tiff came over to our place after the bar closed, we hung out talking about hockey, drinking and generally annoying the shit of Cicatrix who was attempting to sleep. Sorry Cicatix. 
Last night was one of my best friend's birthday, so bunch of us met at On The Border for dinner. Was loud, but fun. Sorry On The Border people for running out all the other customers in the smoking area. I think she enjoyed herself. I hope the 5 shots of tequila and 2 mararitas did her well.
After that wrapped up, ran out to Double Wide in Dallas to meet up with the loverly Parikhan and Pingz. We saw a couple of decent bands FTE and The Von Ehrics. The Von Ehrics would have been much better with a standup bass... IMHO. Also noticed the bar owner was strapped.
I'm not sure how comfortable I am with the guy in the cowboy hat running around the bar with a pistol on his hip. I know this is Texas, but still. Fun stuff though. Everyone needs to come out at meet Parikhan while she's in town from LA (not L.A., LA.). I hope to have an event posted later.
Working OT today, should go to another b-day party tonight, but not sure if I will or not.
So, been busy, but having fun...
On the job front, I've decided I need to change my attitude about work. I've been playing the brutal honesty route. I need to be a bit more careful about revealing my opinions on the daily crap that goes on around here. I need to get a bit more done around here (He says, as he updates his journal at work
). But yeah, I think I'm going to sit my boss down tomorrow and blow some smoke up his ass. I need to keep this job until I find something better. I need him to believe I'm going to be here for a while.
So here's where I need your help...
I'm thinking of switching from NetFlix to Blockbuster. Anyone have any experience with Blockbuster Online? What's the turn around time in DFW? NetFlix is awesome, I can mail a movie back on Monday, and have the replacement by Thursday. Really, I guess the only compelling reason to switch is the 2 free in-store rentals you get with Blockbuster, but for the same money, that seems kinda worth it. So long as it doesn't take 2 weeks to get my movies back and forth. Also, anyone know thier policy on lost (in the mail) DVD's? Do they cut you slack on that like NetFlix does?
