So I've worked a jillion fucking hours it seems like the last week, with it being prom season, and my sleep schedule is fucking all sorts of out of whack so HEY! It's time for a blog.
Today work blew horse cock. Hands down. No other way to describe working in the middle of prom/wedding season, with kids picking out prom tuxedos, people booking weddings, tux fittings, rental pickups... oh, and your part-time co-worker who works one fucking day a week suddenly is "puking all night" for the SECOND FUCKING TIME IN THREE SUNDAYS.
Now normally, I wouldn't give a shit. I've called in sick before. It's nothing big, and normally I wouldn't give a shit. But a. we've established the fact that she already did this once two Sundays ago, calling in sick forty-five minutes before her shift on a day when it is physically impossible to get anyone to come in and work (and has called in six times this year so far- i've called in three times in fucking five years), b. the fact that she came in to work for Gord only knows what reason, only to mope and after twenty-five minutes of sitting in the back with her feet propped up and head in her hands, asked if she could go home early.
Oh, and her prom was this weekend too. You think that had anything to do with it?
Whatever. Needless to say, work was overloaded busy. Luckily- minus one lady who yelled because I didn't wait on her kid while I had four tux pickups, a fitting, and a prom kid picking out styles with his girlfriend at the SAME TIME- everyone was very understanding and cool. Some kid balanced a stool on his nose. Friends forever.
Other than that, my life has been boring. Work. Work. Work. Home. Booze. Sleep. Rad. And hockey too.
Going to lunch with Stephanie tomorrow, then hittin' up Chef's with Steph, Danielle, Kristina, Jess, and myself. OH YEAHHHHHHHHHH THE LADIES THE LADIES. This should be fun. Then Eric and I are hitting up the Bisons game (AAA affiliate of the New York Mets) since it's dollar Hot Dog Night and tickets are seven bucks since it's MARKDOWN MONDAY WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Wow, I remember prom season and wedding season. Used to work weddings and wait tables so I feel your pain. Never done retail though. It's got to be tough. Sounds like you have some fun planned though. Enjoy yourself and forget about work for awhile!

wow, sounds like where I used to work. I can't do that kinda thing anymore I've found out I have a temper with dumb people and when you are working any kind of service industry you'll run into them. So mad props on being able to pull that off, well I guess what I'm saying is, that wasn't a rant, rant's are when you bitch 35 mins to someone about how you wanna slightly stab another someone. lol or maybe that's just me.
