ah, busy busy busy.
im back again. ive been really busy as of late. well, this just past weekend, i went up to DC to the 9:30 club to see Bright eyes. It was a great show. I went with some one that i had some contact with while i was attending NOVA but that i never really got to know. that was fun and hopefully ill be hanging out with her some more.
one of the opening bands was called Tilly and the Wall. I liked them too. I had never heard of them before but will have to look into them.
It looks like the unseen are going to be playing at the black cat on the 10th and le tigre at the 9:30 club on the 22nd or so. I might try to go to one or both of those although they aren't really as high priority.
i also saw somewhere along the line in the schedule that a band called Ratatat or Ratatata was going to be playing and i might go check them out. I've never heard any of their stuff but a friend of mine saw them open for a band (Mouse on Mars, i think) and said that they were pretty good.
i think i really just put most of that up more as a reminder to me
I have a friend, he is made mostly of pain. He wakes up, drives to work, and then straight back home again.
He once cut one of my nightmares out of paper.
I thought it was beautiful, I put it on a record cover.
And I tried to tell him he had a sense of color and composition so magnificent.
And he said "Thank you, please but your flattery is truly not becoming me.
Your eyes are poor. You are blind. You see, no beauty could have come from me.
