If it's a choice, then homophobes would really/i] feel justified in calling you a perverted fag that's doomed to eternal Hell. They wouldn't mind at all taking away your rights to be happy with a man you love. And there is no shortage of people out there that would cheerfully kill you for wanting to do just that.
