So I'm actually updating because I'm working from home again, lol. Seems like that's the only time I update.

Most days I just check the site on my phone and posting a blog from there can be pretty painful. My Son has a Christmas party at preschool today, so I'll be taking a little time out to go over there this morning. We took both the kids to see Santa last night, Jack loved it and Riley cried. Not really surprised, she's almost two, but she seemed so happy to go see him, until we actually put her on his lap. After it was over she kept telling me she wanted to see Santa, I told her she already did and she cried. She just looked at me and me and said "I cried?" Like she didn't believe me, lol. Guess she blocked it out.

My computer is in a little room the basement and it's so cold down here. I recently put a thermometer in here because I was curious just how cold it is. When I got down here it was 59.4, now it's up to 60.5. Thankfully the furnace just kicked on.

So what else is new? My Mom had to have her appendix out last week, that wasn't too fun. Luckily my sister was able to stay with her and help out a lot. I've been stopping by on my way home from work to help out this week. She's doing ok now, could've been much worse. Apparently it's pretty rare for someone her age to have it out. It's most common in kids and young adults, not someone in their 60's. Was kinda scary though, especially after losing my Dad unexpectedly in July. And speaking of that, anyone believe in ghosts? I've had a few strange occurrences around the house since he's been gone, nothing major, just kinda... strange. But we have this flameless, remote controlled candle on our kitchen table and it just turns itself on and off randomly, but usually around the same time of the day. Makes you wonder. I did have a dream too where first he told me he wasn't dead and then later told me that he was alright and it was ok if we sold his stuff. This was right around the time that I was getting ready to sell a trailer of his and my sister was selling his car. Probably just my mind playing tricks on me, but again, makes you wonder.

Hey, I've gone up half a degree since I've been typing this, 61.0 now. Woo hoo.

Ok, well, guess I should get back and do some work. Blah.

Hope everyone is doing well and has a good holiday. I'll be off of work from 12/18 until 1/6. Should be nice but my wife is having surgery on 12/18 and will be out of action for a while. She had gastric bypass several years ago (before I met her) and now she is getting a tummy tuck to remove some extra skin. So I'll be spending most of my time taking care of her. Should make for an interesting Christmas.
