Anyone have any great ideas they can share with me....
2D Design....
I have my final project assigment....creating an artist book.
I want to make this book, an art piece rather than a conventional book on technique or process, etc....
I want to create my own paper/pages, I want it to be dark and intriguing, not colorful and cheery, or even close to happy...
I don't want to do anything....CLICHE
So....does that mean I cannot use anything I have mentioned I wanted?? Prolly....
I have a couple ideas...ok, maybe one idea. Once I get an idea its hard for me to entertain new ideas, cause my brain fixates on the one....
Anyway, any artist community helpful suggestions on how to get myself to think of more ideas, or whatever, please, please, please lemme know!

this brings a lot of images to mind.....
dark doesn't have to mean the absence of cheerful colour. There are many artists who use cheerful colours juxtaposed with really dark characters. The Melancholy Tales of Oyster Boy comes to mind.
Then again, if you are really looking at the absence of colour....maybe it's shades of gray in the papers you choose....use only various shades of gray paper only? Maybe you could also use found objects that are only shades of gray as well......
