Anyways, as far as glassblowing goes, I live in Bakersfield, so if you wouldn't mind driving that far, then I guess we could talk more about it. Let me know what you think.

You can get a beginners set up going for about $1,000 or so. How long it takes to make something useful is up to you. Some people got it, some don't. It's not for everyone. I compare it to learning to play an instrument.
Oh ya, I won't teach how to make plugs..........pipes only.
