I have to vent for a minute. I fucking hate when someone comes to me asking to borrow money. It's always some huge emergency and they only need it for a couple of days and they promise they will pay me back asap. Yet after I decide to loan them the money and it comes time for them to pay me back there is always some reason why they can't. here the story

I was driving from LA California to Indio California for a few days of meetings and gambling at the nice Fantasy Springs Resort. On the drive I get a call from a girl I am friends with (never was anything other then friends). Some how she ended up in Tampa Fl, 4 hours from home lost her purse and wallet and had an empty talk of gas. NO way to get home. So along the drive I find a wal mart literally in the middle of the desert, seems wal mart is really everywhere. So i transferred $35 to her and the cost of sending it was $10. So i am currently owed $45 it does not seem like a lot of money but its still money and I could really use it right now. I was promised to be paid back by the 4th. it is now the 16th. When i bring it up to her she responds that i will get it and that asking will not make the money appear out of thin air. Now I am made out to be the bad guy cause her birthday is coming up and she is gonna have to give me her birthday money to pay me back. I am always told i am too nice and you know what this time, fuck that i want my money and I want it now. I would love some feedback on what other people think of this situation.
