on a side note...as i was getting in my car, a middle aged lady in a red corvette felt compeled to tell me, "just wanted you to know, the lord is coming soon...and god bless you." also got lost in the hood and encountered the aftermath of someone shooting a car up with a machine gun...cops having just arrived.

I know that companies like Budget and Hertz are usually hiring, but I would also try for applying for a city job first, even if the city isn't hiring..get an application in, they pay well and get descent dental and medical benefits.
