So I'm packing to head off tomorrow to a very geeky thing: Megacon. Megacon's a convention for many things geeky up in Orlando. Anime, comic books, cosplay galore, roleplaying games, tabletop wargames, card games, boardgames, some LARP, a paint and take table, and sci-fi celebrities.

I'm there to get my feet wet in the Living Forgotten Realms campaign games (fear my little female elf cleric of the Lord of the Dead). And I may or may not buy some more Gundam model kits.

My friend and his wife are going for the cosplay. She's reprising her role as The Baroness and he's got his new Shadow costume. He was working on a hellghast outfit from Killzone but I don't know if he got it done in time.

Another friend is riding up with me and sharing a room. He's an artist and will be pimping himself and his portfolio at anyone he can stop.

And yet another friend is going up, though I think more to see what it's all about.

It's kind of cool that one event has grown to encompass so many different interests.

Oh, I'll also get a chance to meet up with an old friend and meet her adopted son for the first time. Maybe next year I'll be able to meet up with another blast from my past and meet her daughters.
