My head is still spinning with the idea of Key West. I think that I'm thinking about it even more with how cold it is out and knowing it's 59 degrees down there! I remember when I was there before, this kind of weather seemed like it was freezing! LOL! We had to wear long sleeves and socks... THAT cold! LOL! Now thinking about it.....

My family is trying to drive me mad.

First is was "no house-yes house", then "yes Cali-no Cali"... Then yesterday, I checked the house that I liked in NJ, and it looks like it sold. So, just kind of looking... I checked houses in the FL Keys. I found a could around the price range we're talking about.... Well, the whole family said they'd be...

Balance - oh, that is always the challenge. I like to say I take moderation way too far or not nearly far enough... haha.

Good grief on the house front. Um, I say you move and let them follow you if they take the initiative to do so. Heehee. I know that is unrealistic, but seriously, you are doing an awesome job pushing on. You can do it!

Happy New Years, my loves.
I'm trying to get straight in my head that this year, (this decade!), I will grow to become who I want to be. I've spent the last 30 years (ok 32 but who's counting), figuring out WHO I want to be. Now it's the time to BE it!

I want to learn to find balanced, without giving up passion. I...

I'm starting to feel a little better. I've been thinking about what it is that I'm hoping to get done in the next year. I have such a long list.

ribbonsundone:
I feel that. You can do it!
freakykitty:

a list is the first start! smile

here's to a great new year, full of crossed off lists. smile

Yesterday went ok.
Had a little issue; my photography light from my mom didn't come with the light. LOL!

Other then that things went well.

Today, everyone has other things to do. Alan's spending time with his roommate that just got back from Paris, Steve's working... Today it's just me and the girls... and we're only kind of getting along. The dog's the only one...

Spending too much is just a fact of Christmas, you can't get around it.

Happy post-Christmassmile
ribbonsundone:
You can do it! Savings are challening, but as much as you have accomplished lately you will be able to do it.

Yeah, it's honey's birthday...
he went out twice today... once to get his check from work and get the liqueur that was a present to . Then the second time was with someone who didn't do their Christmas shopping yet... and hes surprised it's taken over 5 hours...

LOL

I've barely seen him today and I'm already drunk and close to going to bed. LOL
weston:
Waiting until the last minute to do Christmas shopping is never fun. Think I may have learned my lesson about that this year lol blackeyed Had to go to the mall yesterday to pick up some last minute gifts and it was CRAZY. Sooooooo many people...Took me forever just to find a parking spot blackeyed frown
freakykitty:

Seasonal depression's been setting in some. I haven't been sleeping well, cranky a lot, don't see the point in ANYTHING. It sucks. I'm trying to hold on to goals the best I can.

Hoping I can get myself back together in time for next class (starting Jan 11th), it's Fundamentals of Digital Photography. I'd like to get myself back into school, cause the end of...

I'm sure it will help - I need the same focus, but I know how it feels when all your enthusiasm is gone. Good luck with the new place and the new year!

I had a good day today. Alan spent the night, so he was here when the girls got up. Steve made breakfast for everyone with the girls helping. We had a good Yule celebration, didn't really do much of anything, but we all hung out happily all day. Granted, the house really needs to be cleaned up tomorrow... but it was worth just letting the...

I like it smile And if 30 is the new 20, then 48 is the new 32!

I'm only now thinking about ink - I reckon what looks good to me now will last me long enough..
headlessbill:
Thanks for the congrats.

Two tattoos at 32? Pshaw! I'm 43 and will be getting my first tattoo once I complete my documentary (which will hopefully happen before I'm 44).

And a friend of mine's grandmother decided to get her first tattoo on her 73rd birthday.

I went to my mom's Sunday and yesterday... The girls and I got fitted for our dresses for the wedding in June. I'm trying to figure out why we're fitting two kids (ages 9 and 11) about 7 MONTHS ahead of time??? Now if the girls grow too much, we'll have wasted $120.

In addition to that... as stupid as it is... My family loving...

feel the same way - outcast in my family.
in fact we had a big arguement at Halloween and I told them it's pretty sad that I feel like more of an outcast and less accepted by my family then by friends.
sigh

My family is just my Mom and me, and neither of us is very normal. Its most of the rest of the world that I don't fit in with.
