A lot has been going on lately... We're working on plans to do a 1-2 month cross-country roadtrip in about 6 months. There's so much of the country most of our family hasn't seen... I would love to go and do some exploring! During the trip, we're planning to work some (the boys doing maintenance, HVAC, handyman kind of stuff and me doing photography and maybe soapmaking)... If we can learn some new skills before be go or while on the road, that would be good too.

We're hoping it will help us get some clarity as to what we should be doing.. we've been doing s much back and forth (between Cali, a house here, a boat in FL) that my head is spinning. I've really come to terms that here doesn't work. However, the boys still would really love to live in Cali for a while, (and to some degree I would too... but I'm concerned about growing to hate it if we live there too long and don't feel like I can move when I want to. That's one of the reasons I love boats so much... I can move when I want to (as my home comes with me). We've also started to consider full-time RVing for a while. (But to full-time RV, we need to be able to find a way to make money to live on every place we go (where as with a boat we wouldn't move all that often.) There is just so much to consider will all of it. But it will be nice to get on the road for a while...

Wow - now that sounds like an adventure! Road tripping as a travelling band of odd jobbers would make a great foundation for some kind of chronicle. Perhaps you could set up a website featuring your blended family on the go and get virtual donation support too!

I am setting my sights on CA for potentially 3 years from now depending on how things shake out in the next few months. Where would you be living (potentially)?
