So I was contemplating California again... (watching Drive-ins, Diners and Dives and they were showing Santa Cruz Diner and Gorilla BBQ) ... and I asked my beloved if he thought I'd make a good (adopted) Californian. He said, "yes". So, being the curious soul that I am, asked him "Why?" I was answered, in his unusual wisdom, "because you like pot".
Yeah... ummmm.... lol (thought...

Yeah I know what you're saying. You only have the time and resources to do so much. I feel ya on that smile

Well right, that's not the only reason we want to go to CA either, but it definitely helps biggrin

we won't even consider going somewhere where pot isn't de-criminalized.
bittersweetdream:
Heheh - Pot is definitely one of the reasons I'm proud of being from CA - is that weird? Hehehehe. I think your furniture plan sounds SO fun AND so CA-boheme! Are you guys thinking about the Santa Cruz area?

Ok, today I really need to get more stuff done.

I did "just do it" with one of the thing I needed to do. The girls' pumpkins needed to get bagged to be put out... and they were all soft, mushy and well just plain gross. Got it double bagged and ready for trash day tomorrow.
Lets see... me today's to do list?

$20 is awesome! thats a good start.
& doing measurements is good - because many times you see the results there, and not in weight.

little by little... smile
freakykitty:
$30 woot!!!
I got in bed early last night, I was so tired.

I've got a whole list of might get done plans for today.
work, clean, rent movies(every tuesday), and I want to run by the tattoo shop and talk ideas.... might get to the movie rentals.. ahhaha

I though today was going to be another "feel yucky" day, but I'm working on turning it around. I'm working on keeping the day going well. I think that's one thing I really need to work on. I need to be able to decide to turn my day around or the better and quite letting one or two incidents ruin a day for me.

On...

Bollywood is too fun! I gotta catch up to you - you're racing off without me with that whole exercise/get-shit-together thing!

I'm feeling a little today. I finally got a good night sleep. Maybe that was part of my problem. My shoulder and neck are still tense and sore, but I'm feeling better... so it's easier to deal with.

I'm getting to go to Boondock Saints 2 finally! I was supposed to see it last weekend, but wasn't able to. I'm really excited about getting to...

It is definitely not just you and your circle. It has floated around me as a must see for ages. I even had a student do a performance based on it! I should have seen it by now! When I FINALLY do I will let you know.

A popular fitness mantra I have heard is "Eat Less, Move More." That is for weight loss ~ don't know if that is on your agenda ~ but for me it is about the moving more. It just makes life better.
bittersweetdream:
Cute picture! I have the same problem with feeling weird about exercising or anything like that around my hunny, too - I have no idea why! When we got together (10 years ago) I didn't care, but now I do? Exercise, dancing, meditation, rituals... everything. Blech!

Another day passing...

For the most part, my girls seem to be feeling better... I'm still feeling kind of crappy, though. I don't think it's from being sick, though. I'm just tired, sore and kind of depressed. I just feel like I'm running in circles and not getting anywhere. It's probably just pre-pms... but that doesn't help much either.I have the "this is all pointless"...

Well, I'm starting to play strip poker games some...
It's a really fun website... Strip Games Live...
If you decide to come over... look up "asailorgirl", that's me... maybe we can play sometime.

Later:

That was fun. Got to play a game (of strip poker online) with a couple of the guys there... and got to meet one of the new hostesses. I forgot...

Always a Woman good song!

I think I have perpetual sea-sickness/motion sickness. I get motion sick ALL the time. Even when I'm the one driving the car. Sometimes just walking if I look down or something I immediately feel dizzy and nausiated.
I'm not too bad on speed boats, but when we slow down thats what gets me.
I used to have a friend that lived on a house boat. We partied there a lot. The swaying mixed with drinking was never a good combo. hahah. His boat was called "Comfortably Numb" -- and that we were most of the time.
bittersweetdream:
You can live on a boat in California - compromise? tongue LOL - I'm looking for a 'sponsor', too - someone who wants to help fund my life just to see how it ends up going. I always imagine it'll be a sweet little old lady in her 70s or 80s.

I'm having slightly depressing day today. Steve, my honey, gets stressed about me talking about getting a house, and I get stressed when I'm not focusing on it. I feel like we're at an impasse. When I was not really including him in the plans saying I need to do what I need to do, he got pissed that I was being selfish. When I...

I agree with the priority scale freakykitty laid out, my dear. And, imho (feel free to ignore) someone who requires your financial support is not long term relationship material. It sounds like the house is a symbol for long term financial solvency and consistency - perhaps something to which he does not want to commit. Yet, you need this for your life. You have to do what you have to do for yourself. You are committed to your life and your kids. If he cannot step up, then it sounds like he has some self-examination to do. Of course you love him and want to make that work, but he has to meet you at least half way. It doesn't sound like is up for the challenge.
ribbonsundone:
Mmmm - understandable. It can be difficult when you are in two different stages of wanting/doing something. However things proceed just do take care of yourself!!

Why are some negative energies just so attractive? Perplexing. But, resistance is not utterly futile. I just have to be consistent about it. Let's start a support group! smile

Speaking of which, I hope you are crushing the homework. I am still a bit scattered, but muddling through. *sigh*

I have really been thinking about what to do as this months project. I think I will work on a couple. The first, which will be my primary project is getting this house cleaned up! I will also be starting to work on building up regularity with my exercising and photography. I will try to do at least one mini-set a week, and excising at least...

I'm going to try to keep having monthly projects. I'm trying to figure out what November's project will be. I think art of this month's plan will be to figure out projects for 2010. There is so much that I want to do but have been putting off; starting to write some stories, writing my movie (again), Mythology Photography Project... I want to set both...
