Not-so-new thought, but it's pertinent to my now. You don't always feel "sad" when you're depressed.
Partially through conscious effort, I'm keeping my moods mostly level. I'm keeping up with deadlines, going to work, doing stuff I'm supposed to do.
But when all I'm looking forward to is for it to be the weekend again, so I can sleep as much of the day as...

yeah but you have to create some fun time in that pile of chores otherwise you'll go nutso.

I hate having to get up and go when you know your body needs the sleep. And yes I understand the feeling you're describing. It's a shame we don't come with indicator lights so that others can see just how lousy you feel inside while putting on your best effort on the outside.

So what fun stuff for you then?

What a great weekend... first, and by far worst, conflict with a friend, then hours of cleaning, now today I wake up with a cramp, thinking, "but it's WAY too soon for my period!" but sure enough, it's my period.
Ok, I know it's not technically part of the weekend anymore, but the weeks I get a three-day weekend, that's exactly how I consider it,...

Ah so the Clean Police have been by then. It's not unusual to have off-cycle periods though due to stress/illness etc.

Well enjoy the dinner at lesat it provides distraction amongst friends I guess smile

Yay. Feeble, halfhearted expression of joy. The bathroom is clean. Hooray, shiny, spot-free mirrors, hooray scrubbed and uncluttered countertop. Yay.

Often I would listen to music while I clean, but I wasn't in the mood for that today, other than a couple of songs that were in my head. I brought the bird in and let him perch on this funky little magazine-stand thing that's...

The candles on my journal page... I still have the honey ones, and the sandalwood vanilla. The honey ones are the 2"x9" and are $10 each, and the sand/van are 3"x6" and sell for $12 each. I also do small baby pillars that are 2"x2" that are really nice and $2 each. I can also do a set... people really like the set of 3 with a 3x3, 3x4 and 3x6. I've got a few more almost finished that I need to get pics of on my next days off (tue-wed). I'm running low on wax and need to order more... so if you can't find anything she likes, then perhaps you could do a special order for the holidays smile

my goodness a lady who cleans ...I must run and tell the wife....

I guess I'm going to clean the bathroom today.
There are other things I need to do, some of which I want to do, and some of which I don't. And I really don't want to clean the bathroom. But it has to be done, and something's saying today's the day to do it.
I think it isn't going to be that terribly difficult or...

I've spent most of the last 24 hours tracking down information about my engineering album credits, toward this NARAS membership thing. The manager of my studio emailed me back with some info from the online app, which I was referring to the mail-in one, and then I finally came upon another page of faq's about the requirements for voting membership.
It turns out that the...

Your dogs are all super cute!! It's so nice to find other people that have full out birthday parties for their dogs wink

The candles... well you can buy them through me directly. That's where most of my sales are, just carting them around with me and showing them to people wherever. I'm also still small enough that I don't mind doing custom orders!

Well. I just attended a meeting of a group called "Women's Audio Mission," got asked to be a guest lecturer for the recording arts program at one of the local universities, and found out I have (more than) the credits needed to become a voting member of NARAS. That is, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, the group which decides the Grammy Awards....

I meant Jessica or Ashley Simpson. That stupid blond just pisses me off and I boycott her sister just for being related. Ruined "Boots" for me at the end of the dukes of hazard movie

So after a good shower and scrub, I'm updating my non-injury status from the accident (previous post) to the following: One slight swelling on inside of right ankle; one small bruise on outside of left knee. Not too bad at all.
Annoyingly enough though, after everyone telling me all day I should have a soak in the tub, to prevent stiffness and so on, my...

I'm glad you didn't get too banged up. the thing that I hate most about living in the city is absolutley the traffic. If they say your car is repairable but totaled, you may be able to buy it back cheap and fix it with junkyard stuff. that all will depend on if your car's unibody was damadged in the accident. I know you are on a really tight budget and if you are still lucky that may be the most affordable way to get back on the road. Anyway, keep us posted and take care of yourself
crystaldawn:
Oh man... scary! I think about that kind of stuff happening all the time when I see such blatant disregard for safety on the roads! It really rustles my hide! It sounds like you have a good resource of people to help you out... and a huge house full of britters to snuggle and make you feel better! You need to post some pics of the critters, esp the boxer smile

I lost one of the tiny spider-in-web post earrings that I wear through the punched-holes in my leather wristband. I'm sad... I had this nice little pair of them through the two holes, and now I only have one.
I have no idea how it came off... they were both on very tight, and the remaining one still is. They're bigger than the holes, so...

Hello fellow animal geek! I wish I still had the time for a Grey, but I just don't have the schedule to keep a bird happy... Nor the motivation to clean up after one, I don't miss that! I wish I could get another one for my mom though. She was never a bird person but fell in love with the one Grey that I ended up giving to her. What kind of dogs do you have? (other than spoiled rotten) wink

Dear Self,

I don't care if the other mastering engineers don't reference. You, my dear, still need to reference. What's more, you know HOW to reference effectively, what information to compare, and what to disregard. Had you referenced today instead of listening only to the mixes at hand, the masters you did today might be quite amazing instead of merely impressive yet flawed.
Therefore, effective...
