Oye! What a shitty day. Not anywhere near the scale of being in New Orleans or anything. However, due to the lost passport and the fact that I don't have a copy of my birth certificate I get to do about 1600 miles of driving in the next few days.
I'm currently in Minnesota to pick up a copy of the birth document. Friday, I have an appointment in Chicago to get the passport replaced. I then leave for Germany on Saturday afternoon. Although I'll be leaving K.C. nearly a week late and nearly $1500 poorer, I'm really, really ready to get on that damn plane.
Kera is probably somewhere just east of the east coast of the U.S on the way to Munich. Oh well, like I say, it could be worse... much worse.
