As much as I love snow... I want to ride my mountain bike... hell, any bike for that matter. However, in the last 24 hours we've had somewhere between 18" & 24" of fresh snow.

Back in K.C. the race season starts today with a standard XC race. Next weekend is a duathlon (of which I finished 2nd overall for the '05 season) and then in two weeks is a 3/6 hour race. I can, if I wanted, fly to Mallorca and start the race season with a marathon between 45 & 70 kM's. Not sure that I'm up to it after being off the bike completely for two weeks.

I've put a 4 race 24 hour series on my schedule for this year but I feel that time is running out for me to do Montezuma's Revenge (http://montezumasrevenge.com) if I'm ever going to do it. I'm in the land of the Alps, the perfect training grounds to get in shape for this or any endurance event.

All I need is the snow to realize that it's time to hang it up for early '06. Wish me luck!
