I'm bruised and abused but day #1 of snowboarding was and incredibly fun experience! I went with my friends Tom (the crazy Scottish guy) and Kit another American. We took a beginning class and managed to get up to where I might be able to practice enough to J-Turn my way down the mountain.

I have found that low alcohol content beer and Radler's, finally, freeze when it's below 10 F. Woke up this morning to 8 F/-13 C. It's freakin' cold out. When we left the states, I traded a nice set of mountain bike wheels to a friend for his snowboard (a Burton), bindings and boots. Well, the boots were too small and the bindings are step-in so they're relatively proprietary.
Today, I replaced the boots with Van's Danny Cass II and the bindings with a Drake Mikey LeBlanc model.
Now... got to go use 'em....

We spent the day doing errands and working out. We went to a spin class at 10:00 that was great. The guy teaching the class obviously really enjoys teaching and motivating people. Great music, lots of playing and dancing. Imagine doing push-ups and then one arm push-ups whilst spinning away on a spin bike.

Yes, I did. In fact I'll be moving tomorrow. The new place is somewhat smaller but it's got a lot more light and it's in a much better location. Feels real good, too.
I'm a little pissed, though, for having to pay 800 euros as a fee for the realtor. But I had to find something real quick. The mold was already starting to eat at my furniture.

That autobahn-pic was taken in the seventies on a "Autofreier Sonntag". During the oilcrisis the government asked for everybody to not use their vehicles on that day. Imagine that today. Would not work anymore.
