We are now approximately 19 days into actual winter and approximately 72 days away from the opening hours of spring. Here in NYC we are at 40o 47' latitude and at this point in winter we saw mid 60s yesterday& today. last year on 7 January the temperature reached a record 72. Talk now of light snow on Monday. We shall see.
Registered for a photography course at SVA. Darkroom bound. Oh, joy.
This week so far has dragged like the back end of my old '72 T-Bird. Not a pretty sight.
Into a rereading kick. Pynchon's V & Kerouac' On the Road. Somewhat simultaneously. Don't know how long this will last.
Tonight on the commute--just one tad too tired to read--set the IPod on shuffle & got snippets of Bill Bryson's A Short History of Nearly Everything interspersed with very uncanny coincidences of music. Quite a trip.
