Thanksgiving is by far the most brutal holiday of the year for me. While I'l have my daughters,, son in law and grandkids with me, the person who is not here will dominate my thoughts. Without my wife, my kids' mom and my grandkids grandma around, Thanksgiving will be a difficult day.

My housing situation is precarious at best. I thought I had a place lined up that I could go to if all else failed. I learned the other day that this option is no longer available to me. It's starting to get a little scary, as I have to vacate my current apartment in about two weeks. There's always something that gets in the way of having peace of mind. I guess you'd call that "life" I have a couple of prospects for housing. I'll update when I have a better idea of what's going to happen.

In spite of that, there are things to be thankful for. My emotional health has improved by leaps and bounds. I've met and become friends with a number of nice people over the past few months. I'm thankful for being mostly in good physical health and for my wonderful family.

This year, I'm most thankful for Kathy coming into my life. She seems perfect for me,and she feels the same about me. It's incredible that she entered my life at this point. At my age, I was wondering if I would ever find someone to love again. Now I know I have.
