Went to the dentist today. I'll need one filling and probably an extraction. Compared to the other crap I'm dealing with, going to the dentist is almost a pleasure.
A close friend has been suggeating that I write more abut my family. I'm in the mood to do a litle of that today, So here are two stories that come to mind.
The day that our daughter Ellen was born was one of the happiest days of our lives. She was absolutely perfect. Later that day, I noticed that the parents of some of the other babies in the nursery had put their names on their cribs. In addition, all the cribs had the name of the formulas they were being given posted as well. Ellen's formula was called Emfamil.
We didn't put Ellen's name on her crib yet, which we didn't think was a big deal. As Annette was resting in her room, I was looking at Ellen and the other babies through the glass in the nursery. Some asshole standing next to me pointed to Elllen's crib and said, "hahaha, that baby's name is Emfamil".
Well, I made a mad dash to Annette's room and excitedly asked if she had a pen and paper. When Annette asked me what was wrong, I told her what that guy said. She told me that I was making too much of it, but I wasn't having any of it. I wrote Ellen's name in big letters and insisted that one of the nurses tape it to her crib immediately.
In the years to come, I used to tease Ellen sometimes by telling her that she was originally named Baby Emfamil.
As Annette and I reached our 50's, friends would sometimes kiddingly ask Annette if I needed Viagara yet. Annette used to smile and answered very truthfully by saying something like this. "Are you kidding? Sometimes I wish someone would invent anti-Viagara for him to take."
That always made me very proud.

I loves ya! Its been so...so.... crazy? I dont know if thats the word. For whatever reason it has been so crazy that I am loosing my ability to speak properly!
