My family is on their way home to North Carolina. I spent lots of time with my grandkids, which was really nice. They've both gotten so big since the last time I saw them in person. It sure beats the webcam by about a thousand percent.

My daughter, Ellen, will be back here next weekend. She's attending the wedding of one of her oldest friends on Saturday and staying here until Sunday evening. I'll have both of my girls with me for Father's Day.

I want to thank all of my friends from the bottom of my heart for the outpouring of love they showed me when I mentioned that I might not be able to afford my SG membership, which expires the beginning of July. Many of you offered to pay all or part of my dues, which blew me away. I wish I wasn't in a position where I need this kind of help. On the other hand, it means more to me than words can express that I was the recipient of so much love. I'm very happy and relieved that I'll be a part of the SG community for at least another year.

All of you mean a great deal to me. I've come to realize that I feel closer to my freinds here than I do toward just about anyone in my everyday life except for my family. You have made me feel that I belong here. I'm grateful to all of you.
