I want to thank everyone who showed me their love and support after reading my previous, very depressing blog. I can't say I'm feeling all that different, but I wanted to let you know the latest news.

I finally got my score for the census taker exam. I scored an 88, which I feel l isn't too bad. I've been told that they evaluate other information on the application besides the score to determine if and when I might be hired. I can't afford to sit back and wait. I'm still looking for some kind of work, even part time. I've been more active in my job search lately without success.

I went to see my daughter perform in a local production of 42nd Street last night. Her performance, as well as the show in general was terrific. My daughter showed off her dancing, as well as her considerable singing talent. After the show my daughter and I went to a local diner with several other cast members. I was actually able to display a little of the sense of humor and personality that I used to be well known for before I was affected by all the crap that I've had to deal with over the past few months. For a few hours, I was feeling almost normal.
