I attended my third SGNY event this past Sunday. It was a picnic in Central Park. I had already met the SG members who were there. It was good seeing them again. I did get to meet a few non-SG people, who were very nice.

It was unseasonably hot and humid, so shade and hydration were a must. I have to thank Vimes for coming up with the idea for the picnic. I'm glad I went.

I went to Yankee Stadium with Lyrical to see Yankees-White Sox. We wound up meeting early enough to have a good amount of time to talk about things that we had on our minds. This was important to me.

I've been looking forward to this for some time. It gave me a chance to get away from things that have been weighing on my mind way too much these days. Lyrical is a Yankees fan. I loved the way she was into the game. We also had fun with a couple of people sitting in front of us. All in all, it was an almost perfect evening. The only negative as far as I'm concerned is that the White Sox lost. I'm going to see the same two teams on Thursday with my younger daughter.
