Well some good some bad I guess all in all not a bad day heck any day your in the greatest city in the world cant fully suck. More disapointment at how gentrified LES is now. The whole east side has become the west village/soho (of the later days). Still gonna need to find someone to do illustrations for the childrens books so I have to keep looking. Brotherhood is picking up a place in Brooklyn I may go in halves just to have a place around town but he's only gonna have it until the end of this year so after I will probably pick it up unless I find something better in the interim but the price is right. Brotherhood also informs me that not all semblence of what the East Side was about is gone so FUCKIN WROCK ON CRUSTYS!!! (not sure if thats how its spelled but keep the faith kids) Brother prehnite thinks that legendary activist will be receptive to my idea for a campaign. I think I will meet the cat next month but not without some trepidation. Mad chemist East (now just madman) worked with legendary activist numerous times and had not much positive to say. Other kind family I have spoken with over the years have also not had many positive things to say more like legendary activist is more interested in getting his own name in the paper and making time with the hippie mamas (cant say I blame him here) then in the cause or causes and the people who wind up in the trenches for him. Nonetheless should be interesting. Okay TEANY yeah I'm not impressed. Tea selection is small and I had the worlds driest fuckin scone. I mean a scone so dessicant that it was pulling water vapor out of the air. Im pretty sure that scone was responsible for how the rain stopped this afternoon leaving me in all kinds of heavy bad weather gear. The place is dainty with teany tiny little round tables and little chairs great for cutie SGgirls but if your a fat fuck like me not so good plus I was getting a really weird vibe . TEANY like so much of the rest of the LES now is a little too selfconsciously hip. In otherwords a tryhard. At any rate there was an alluring and mysterious sexy blonde lady who seemed to work there and then was walking behind me for a few blocks after I left would've liked to talk but didnt get the chance <pouting>. Maybe next time...Couldnt find much to take any decent pix but I did try shooting in basic so whenever I can finally get on the phone with Nikon and figure out wtf is going on with my software so I can dl some of this stuff I will put it on if its low res enough. Ooooooh brotherhood did turn me on to a really dank rawfood place better then then one on 12th. Okay so I think the "science" some of the folks in the movement talk about is sketchy but the food here was awesome. I had the spinache lasagna and a gingerbeer that was TO DIE FOR! Really island style no airlocks cheesecloth on the jars interesting hints of raisin and clove. Makes me think I may wanna do another batch myself it has been a while. Wonder if dank daddies still use the recipe that I taught them in Alleghany. Only thing that was a drawback was the lack of effervescence. I prefer a slight tingle to a still GB but all in all really nice. Today really just reaffirms for me how as soon as I can get off the Death Star IM gonna do a little traveling and then cross over the hudson and squat down on that island between two rivers and rarely leave ever again.
