I saw my play, Morrigan's Morsel, on stage for the first time tonight. It was the last one out of a set of four, so it's the most likely to have left an impression on the audiences' memories. biggrin

It was amazing stuff. The director had tweaked a few things since the final draft and added some extra action, which worked perfectly. I was absolutely delighted! I plan on going to every performance I can.

Feedback from the actors indicated that they enjoyed performing it, which was great to hear - because I don't care about having the best play or putting forth some kind of message. My aim is always to make it intriguing/entertaining for the audience and fun for those involved with the production. And I think I've managed to achieve both with this play. It's a good feeling. smile

I also got interviewed and had photos taken for an article in The Aucklander, which is a free publication. I thought it'd be something small, like 'Here's some guy, he's written one of the plays at Unitec, go see them, here's his picture' - in other words, a bit of publicity for the season (as it'd been organised by the person in charge of that sort of thing). But it turns out the article's about me. surreal They do interesting people every now and then, and apparently I'm interesting enough to be a subject. I was like, woah. Whatever it is, it'll be something to send to my parents/hang on the wall! shocked

Oh, thank you, sweetie! That did make me smile. smile

That is great about your play. What a wonderful experience. I'm coming to find, in my old age, that life is not much more than a series of experiences. You will always remember this. How cool is that? I'm proud of you! smile
