Yay! I get to write the short film I wanted! 
Well, I suppose it was probably because my 2nd idea was kinda generic, and the third idea was, uh, overambitious. But still!
Work is shit, but what's new? I think about it everytime I'm there - stay, with all the stress and slog, and get paid well for reasonable hours? Or leave and get a much lower paying job, with no more perks like broadband and free cellphone usage? Stay, of course.
I am seduced by technology, I crave it. And it's not that bad really - that's life, right?
Yay! Our play season starts next Wednesday! I can't wait!

I didn't kill it...I'd have felt awful. I can't kill anything. I tried to catch it and put it out the window but it skuddered over to the other side of the room so I couldn't reach it. Stupid thing. Today it has vanished, and I'm worried I ate it in my sleep. Unlikely, but still a horrible thought.
