I'm trying to stop writing about chocolate, but...

Places to Eat or Buy Chocolate
(A VERY incomplete list that I am hoping to make bigger)

LONDON:
One can find a lot of good chocolate bars, but here are some places I like (starting with the more conventional)

1) Harrod's has your usual eating chocolates plus a surprisingly good Chocolate Bar. I've had two kinds of hot chocolate (see my previous entries on hot chocolate) plus a chocolate shake.

Also, they have a Krispy Kreme area on the bottom floor, which makes fresh, hot doughnuts. It is rare that you get these fresh, so if you are around Knightsbridge, you should get a few.

2) Selfridge's is always a fun place to be! They have an excellent selection of chocolate bars, truffles, and confectionary.

3) Konditor & Cook A small chain of independent bakeries. They have truffles and excellent chocolate baked goods. Also good bread, etc.

4) Borough Market is a fantastic market right by London Bridge. There has been a market on the ground it covers of some kind since the 13th century. There are a lot of great stalls including several artisnal bakers.

5) La Maison du Chocolate is in Picadilly, right across from Fortnum & Mason. It's a typical high-end chocolate boutique but that doesn't mean it's not good!

That's a superficial look at London - I still have some notes for other cities, which I will add later...
