Today at work I talked to a crazy little girl while I was cutting fabric for her mother. She walked up to the table and stood next to me.
"HI!" she said enthusiastically.
"Hello," I replied.
"I like to climb on things," she told me.
"Hey, me, too!" I said, "I've been climbing on things since I was your age."
"I'm five!"
"Yeah, that's about right," I told her, "I used to climb all over stuff. My mother thought I would stop when I got older, but I'm 23 and I just climbed a tree a few days ago."
"You're a monkey!" she declared, as if recognizing one of her own.
"That's right."
"I'm a monkey, too!"
"Awesome."
