Blah blah blah. I never have anything interesting to say any more.
Questions about the overnights I worked:
How many nights did you work overnight?
Three. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. Sunday morning I worked 7AM to 4PM, then came back at 10:30PM and worked until 6AM Monday morning. I was awake for more than 24 hours! EXCITING! Sleep deprivation ahoy!
Why did you do that?
Because I got my whole forty hours for the week in four days. Hooray!
What the hell were you guys doing?
Resetting the Electronics department "mods". This is Wal-Mart speak for putting out new merchandise and rearranging the shelving. This sounds simple enough, but it's hard to do during the day with all of the customers running around, it's actually quite time consuming in general. Because it's also quite messy (mechandise everywhere) we do them overnight so that the customers do not trip all over the place and sue us.
Did you learn anything during the overnights?
I did! Check it out: at your local Wal-Mart the "AV Accessories" section (which is all of the antennas, coaxial cable, coax splitters, AV cables, speaker cable, universal remotes, etc) has been set with one of four mods. They are based on the income and educational bracket of your city. The widest selection is in the "early adopter" areas, where there are lots of white collar college graduates. The most limited selection is in the "wiser" areas - cities that have a high population of elderly folks. So if you go to Wal-Mart and can't find an HDTV antenna, blame the retirement home down the street.
Wal-Mart sucks! I can't believe you did that for them!
I didn't do it for them, you goons. I did it for me, so that I could have three days off in a row.
I am making a Sculpey robot. He is in the oven. So if you will excuse me, I think it's about time for him to come out of there.
