I went and poked through the archives of the journal I kept before this one. Here are a few snippets I wanted to share. They're very old, most of them are from when I first moved out of my parents' house.

* * * * * * * *

blush - "I want to relay this story because it's freaking hilarious - the other night the boy and I were going at it, and all of a sudden something fell off his his headboard and nailed me right in the back of the head, right at the defining moment of the event, if you get what I'm saying. I believe I let out an explitive, but I can't remember what it was.

"What was that?" I groaned after a fashion, rubbing my aching skull.

"Trophy," he answered simply, sounding similarly pained, "It hit me first."

That alone is funny to me, but what's even funnier in my opinion is the fact that the trophy came from a track and field competition for a Lutheran High School.

If that's not an omen, I don't know what is.

I am going straight to hell."

shocked - "Check it out. I wanted to share this briefly, because I think it's funny.

Since we have stopped dating, this is the caliber of people my ex boyfriend associates with:

He's friends with a guy who fucked his own sister.

Pardon the vernacular."

biggrin - "You can tell you're old enough to move out when you're arguing with your parents *about* moving out and they keep asking you to repeat yourself."

biggrin - "There's this woman who always comes into Wal-Mart who drives one of our power-wheelchairs and has an oxygen tank. Her name is Patricia, and she's always talking about how much she loves Wal-Mart and how much fun she has there.

I first made Patricia's acquaintence about two months ago, over the phone. She called to ask us if we carried something (a movie, if memory serves) and I was the one who ended up having to deal with her. She kept me on the phone for about twenty minutes, talking about how she's writing this article about Wal-Mart and how great the company is and that she talks to the Home Office every day. I didn't formally meet her until about a week ago, but apparently the fact that I hadn't yet bumped into her was some sort of blessing, because I'm told she's there ALL day almost every day.

She got busted for stealing a couple days ago! I wish I could have been there! Apparently they had to call an ambulance because she was - as it was eloquently explained to me - "dying or something". Brad said he wanted to go step on her tube. I'm sure the whole store would've joined him in spirit."

I read a lot of the old entries in that journal and I couldn't believe how wierd and vapid some of them were. But some of them were pretty funny - so I thought I would share.

There isn't a lot going on right now. I worked that overnight at work on Tuesday. That was wierd. I got dirty and sweaty and strained a bunch of my tendons. WOO HOO.

Old people stealing are hilarious. They're really never cool about it, and almost always come back and admit to what they've done.
