So, I went roller skating yesterday.

The area that the roller rink is in has a lot of road construction going on right now. And by that I mean there are no roads. Just stretches of dirt and - because it rained the night before last - mud. As I was driving through rivers of mud and over bumpy patches of dirt I thought to myself, "surely the roller rink will be practically empty today".

Oh, no. All of the people who were there last week were there this week. I walked up to the counter to buy my admission ticket and told the lady who took my money that I was surprised. "With all of that construction!" I said, "I figured for sure it would be dead in here."

She just laughed. "A little road construction doesn't keep away the faithful."
