Interview update:
The chick who was supposed to interview me today wasn't in the office when I got there. Apparently she left only moments before I arrived and the guy working the desk had no idea why.
The temp agency is emailing her for me. Apparently this is "not like her at all" and she was "really interested in meeting with [me]". So we'll see.
My cat is out of food, so that's really all that's on the agenda for today. I bought him some wet food at the grocery store across the street, but that's strictly emergency food. He eats prescription Royal Canin S/O. When I dumped the Whiskas stuff into his bowl this morning he practically danced. If he could have he would have knocked me down to get to it. I suppose that for him it's like he's been eating baked chicken, brown rice and broccolli for six months and all of a sudden someone showed him a big, sloppy burrito.
Interview update 2: The chick who was supposed to interview me has bronchitis and went to urgent care because she forgot about my appointment. In the words of the temp agency "she was SO embarassed". So I'm rescheduled for noon tomorrow. Hooray.

i suppose everyone feels a bit alienated at some point. but that's what i like so much about it here: we're free to discuss things, and people are generally really understanding and accepting. people of all different body types and walks of life can join together. i really appreciate your comment.
