I am watching Red Dragon on USA.
Not because I think it's a particularly good movie, but because I adore Ed Norton. He is the quintessential everyman, and I love that about his acting. Plus, he is just such a cutie with those big sad puppy dog eyes.
By the way, why are people such assholes about the washing machines in apartment building laundryrooms? I had a load in the washer and a load in the dryer, and the stuff in the dryer had 11 minutes left. I went down to take my work pants out (so they wouldn't overdry and shink) and the washing machine with my clothes in it was sitting open. I took my pants out, started the dryer back up and closed the washer. There was a woman standing there with her clothes in a basket and asked "aren't you going to take them out?!"
Uh, yeah, when the dryer's done. Listen to me, folks, I spend all day being paid to be courteous to people. When I'm not getting paid I'M NOT COURTEOUS. Except to other people in the service industry, because they deserve it. Motherfuckers who demand to know why I'm not taking my clothes out of the dryer when they aren't done deserve to be slapped, not coddled.
I have a secret. I'm thinking about writing a script. I'm not going to say what about, but if you know me well enough to know my interests (and what kind of movies I like), you'll probably know. I have some good ideas. But it's been so long since I did any writing. I don't know if I remember how to do it. And I don't really have much free time. But I'm going to let it crystalize in my head for a bit and hopefully something will come of it.
I really really want a new tattoo. I think with my next check from SG I'm going to get something done by a guy I know in Madison. I'm excited.
How are you guys, doing? How is work? How's the family? Have you called your mother lately, because she misses you.
