I'm making cookies.

They are pumpkin-ginger-raisin. They smelled really good, but I'm not sure how they'll taste. O_o

I found these little books at Barnes and Noble. They're itty-bitty reprints of classics. I bought Alice in Wonderland, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and an Edgar Allen Poe collection.

I already have a Poe collection, but something about one that would fit in my purse was...

So here is my dilemma. I can either:

A: become a department manager. Get the hours that I finally want, but still have to deal with customer nonsense all day. However, it must be said, considerably less customer nonsense than I deal with now.

B: work in recieving, for the same amount of money, with almost no customer nonsense, but working shittier hours.

How much...

do the department manager thing. think about it this way... no matter where you work in wal-mart, it's still gonna suck. this will get you paid more, and it will help you when you get a job AWAY from wal-mart.
eyesquad:
You still in the Wal-hell hole? Fuck it, go management, it will help you later in life after you quit the mart. Looks good on a resume. Plus, you can do more damage from within than without. Erode the system, fight the power, save the whales and aducate the hookers. smile

There is a wasp massacre in my bedroom.

Wasp as in the buzzing, flying-around stinging things, not squirrely-looking white dudes.

There were six of them in the big bedroom's window and one in the little bedroom. One of them is still unaccounted for.

Now I'm all paranoid. Any time I feel something brush against me, I think it's that renegade wasp, preparing to avenge his...

I hate wasps. When we first bought our house we had several wasps nests in our yard and even one in the basement. I was stung many times before we managed to get rid of em all. mad

he does now... he almost ripped one of his barbells straight through his nip... it just went halfway though and it's on the mend now. shocked

Just got home from WI.

I went to my parents' for a birthday party, where I gave my dad a Pink Floyd t-shirt. (My brothers got Mr. Clean and Legend of Zelda shirts.)

My mother sent me home with angelfood cake and my grandmother gave me fifty dollars.

And I am about to watch The Peacekeeper Wars.

Life is good.

You know when you want to update your journal, but you don't really have anything to say?

Don't you hate it when that happens?

I once saw the Empire carpet guy perform in a barbershop quartet.

Update: I just watched SuperSize Me. I felt so disgusting during it that I ended up eating half of a honeydew melon.

Remember how last entry I said I was going to clean? Well, I didn't. There's not a goddamn place to put anything. It's annoying. So I'm going to try to clean a little bit more today, but progress is painfully slow.

I haven't talked a whole lot about what I've been doing around here. But it's mostly mundane stuff. Going to Ikea, the fabric store,...

Courtesy of the Pillsbury Doughboy, here is the recipe for the cranberry biscotti I posted last entry. (I used white chocolate chips instead of vanilla.)

Ingredients:
1 (15.6-oz.) pkg. Pillsbury Cranberry Quick Bread & Muffin Mix
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup white vanilla chips
2 to 5 tablespoons Pillsbury BEST All Purpose or Unbleached Flour
2 to 4 tablespoons powdered...

Very cool. I like biscotti, it is very tasty and goes well with coffee or just to snack on when I feel like being sophisticated. Even though I try, I never pull it off except in my own mind. shocked

I love Roseanne. I was so happy when they started playing reruns on Nick at Nite. I got to see her stand-up routine in Philly this past April...she was a riot. smile
