Family can be amazing sometimes, even with the shit with my dad I still love my family and am actually starting to miss not being around them. When Laura gets back it will be better though, everything just makes more sense when she's around.
Had a much better PD rehersal tonight AND we are meeting a prospective drummer tommorow afternoon. If all goes well we will arrange a jam with him next week and we might finally have a full line-up!! That would be awesome as it would mean we can get the EP/demo out of the way and finally get out there and show everyone what real sleazy rock 'n' roll is all about!!
I haven't heard anything about the job I applied for 2 weeks ago, I'll phone them tommorow to see whats going on. Better news is that there is a need for a metal-orientated engineer at a very nice london studio, it wouldn't be a full time position just going in when they need my expertise on the genre but would be a good chance for me to start building a name for myself in the rock/metal community.
If I hear nothing I'm going to just try and get any job to pay the bills right now and put my effort into getting work with local bands.
Weight loss update (I use these as markers for my progress):
July 2nd - 16 stone 8lbs
September 2nd - 14 stone 11lbs
1 stone 9lbs in 2 months!! That's much better than I could have imagined!! I'm still officially obese, but only just so I don't feel bad about it at all. I'm just going to stick with it and hopefully will be meet my personal targets by Xmas, which is the next time I'll see all my family. Wouldn't mind getting down to around 14stone for November 5th as that weekend we are off on holiday with my sister.
Off to sleep now, much better time than list night too!!
