why can't I get to sleep? It's so annoying 'cos it means I sleep until mid-day and miss things I have to do. I still have to take in my letter from the hospital, will be done tommorow as I need a break from all this music.

I finished my first song yesterday, I've never written a full track before and it feels great to listen to it and know I wrote it!! It helps that it rocks too!! Just can't wait to hear a full band play it!! It will be killer, especially once keyboards are added. I have big plans for a synthy intro a la soilwork, and a lyrical idea based on land of confusion by Genesis. Which, btw, has been covered by Disturbed and sounds marvelous. The Vid is cool too.

I also spent the day transcribing As I Am by Dream Theater, it's suprisingly easy for a DT song. I'll be covering it as part of the Insignia project I am working on.

On top of all that, I might be forming a covers band. The pay for such bands is suprisingly good and it would allow for some great stage costumes and wigs!! lol. Will also give me an excuse to buy a Yamaha Attitude II Limited 'cos "I have to have the same bass as Billy Sheehan to be able to play Yankee Rose properly"

Now I'm off to try and sleep, see if I can still get up before mid-day aswell, alarm will go off in less than 3hrs!!
