Today I was pretty happy with my sell order for Nucor being executed. I think the whole infrastructure stimulus wont have too much direct kick for them for quite awhile, and I'd rather swap down to Brazil steel maker, SID instead of NUE anyways. More variable dividend but generally higher payout and the brazillian market has a 25-30% price premium on domestic steel vs the international rates because they dont have the port infrastructure they need to import enough to correct the imbalance. Now I just need to be patient and wait for the pullback so I can get some. My brazil utilty CPFL energia though (CPL) had a huge almost 5% pull back today though, and I couldnt find any damn good reason for it other than the Bovespa's utlity sector dropped almost 5% as a collective during the trading day. I couldnt find any CPFL specific news to justify the drop, so I'm putting some of my cash to work and threw in a buy order to pick up 11 shares at 68.00, which is a bit below its current price by close to 1%, so if the selling pressure continues tomorrow shaking out some pussies then I can hopefully pick some up at a good price. I spent most of my energies around seeing if that trade held up, and so far it seems like a solid move so we'll see how the day shakes out. I'm hoping for some good synchronicity though, with my steel stock popping 2% to hit my sell price, and my favorite 8% yielding brazilian utility dropping almost 5% that same day to give me a good price to buy.
