Back in the mix, to get my fix and learn some new trix.
August was a good month just getting ready for the fall push. Robyn passed her exam and is now fully recognized (qualified) in Ohio to do her thing. This is good cuz it was putting some serious stress on her, and in turn, myself.
School has started and I have the same prof as i did a year ago. He's good, damn good. But I hate the amount of work/time that I have to put into the class...outside of class. I hope that after this I'll be able to swing 2 classes/semester. This may require a move eventually to a more convient locale.
Looking forward next month to seeing Dead Can Dance in Toronto. It will be my first time seeing the group live and I couldn't pass up the opportunity again. This hopefully won't be their last sonic journey together. Oh, I'm dragging Robyn to this too. She's still a DCD newbie.
We're both back on a calorie restricted diet cuz I weigh more than your mother and father put together. I ain't getting paid to be this big (as in playing a pro sport), so there's no reason for me to be. The foods not bad and at least i don't have to wonder what's for dinner. Fortunately, I'd prooly have to be another 100 lbs. larger before any "neccessary" functions would be bothered. I'll prolly get some hate mail, but i have to say that a thought of nostalgic dismay come over me when Katrina hit. "no more Cafe Dumonde?!?!" Luckily I have a couple boxes of mix in the cubboard.
No real time for volleyball...i miss it but hey, none of the people i knew call me anyway to play or even sub. It says a lot about how close my friendships are. Or maybe it's my playing ability? Gotta work on both.
That all for now, back to work. Oh, I'm also thinking of developing a post- PD career. anyone with ideas, send them my way.
I'm out...
P.S. The kid the the photo is an offspring of my gf's friend in L.A. Man this little one is so cute, I could only be nicey-nice to her. YUK!
