Hey,
I was bored working on a project and decided to write this blog about my project. It's a human propulsion submarine. In other words, it's a submarine that moves using human strength.
It's part of my school club. We are about 10 guys mixed in electric ingineering and mecanical ingineering and we designed and built the small red one in one year.
We entered the international submarine races held every 2 years in maryland. In this competition the subs are categorized in four categories: one person with propeller, one person non-propeller, two person propeller and two person non-propeller. The goal is to reach the fastest speed possible.
Last summer we joined the competition with our sub which was a one person with propeller sub and the sub of the guys that were in the club before us which was a two person non-propeller.
I'm happy to say that we got second place in both categories even though we were pretty disappointed in the moment. Here are a few pics of us at the competition.
