Sorry, I Suck
Hey all, sorry for the incredible lack of updates (not that anyone reads this anyway........) but I could give you a million excuses, but I won't. I just didn't have the drive to update. I suck, but now onto other things...
My Roomies are Awesome
So, much love to Subrosa and HelloNurse for supporting me at my open mics these past 2 weeks. I hope they had fun and I know the compliments were just because they know me. I'm not saying I'm bad, I actually think I'm pretty good but I have a long way to go. I've made some steps but miles lay ahead of me.
Speaking of Open Mics
So, this Saturday (the 28th) is when I *believe* that my advanced stand up class's "grad show" is. Edit: Yup 6 PM Sat Jan 28th 414 Mason St #705 Supposedly we all go up there, do our shit, get recorded and we get the DVD. That means I am gonna have to hone my material and try to think of a few minutes worth of new stuff. That is what I will do tomorrow. If anyone can make it out, tell me and I'll hook you up with directions (it is in the city). The place is BYOB so get hammered before hand or drink a few beers in there, whatever you want to do to make me funnier. But seriously, if you can make it, I love the support.
Misc. Rambling
I think my life is coming to an interesting crossroads where I am finally leaving the life I had behind me and slowly forging a new one. I love my old friends and all, but I'm no longer clinging to that lifestyle and being down on myself for not being like I was previously. It's been tough not knowing anyone and all, but I'm getting out more, meeting new people. Who knows where it will all lead, but that's the fun part.
Oh and on Friday I get to see The Dreaming again. Making the trip south. I am a very dedicated fan of a very small time band. They will soon blow up, I know it. I hope they appreciate my efforts.
Oh and I think I'm finally pushing my ex out of my life for good, it's better for me that way, or at least putting her at a greater distance from the important places in my heart.
