IT rained all day today, the sky was dark grey and the wind whipped down the streets of downtown Auburn as I drove around aimlessly. I love the rain, the over casting of the clouds, the wind... Pretty everything about severe weather. Grey days are the best. No sun. I guess thats key.
The smell of the rain is one of my earliest memories. Its so far back in my mind that I won't even remember it, and then the rain is about to come and you can smell it and feel it. That's when it hits me and I just blank out with the fragrance of the coming rain.
The clouds almost always reflect my current feelings on everything. They just swirl around aimlessly, driven by the wind to wherever it takes them. The clouds just pour rain and echo the thunder around in the sky. True beauty.
One of the best feelings I have ever felt, was sitting on the porch a storm, feeling the wind gust around me as it carries the rain around in bizarre angles. The drops of rain break upon the ground and then the wind hurls the droplets all over you. Its amazing.
Thats how today was. I rolled a cocconut Phillies, grab my journal and just sat on the porch watching the sky mourne in beautiful rays of grey. I just wish I had some Guiness. But moving is expensive so I don't get anything fun to drink until the weekend.
